Contest Question

It may take a little work to find the answers but I have faith in our members! 500 credits up for grabs!

1. This show is listed in the Guinness Book of World records as the longest running Sci-fi series in the world.

2. This show gave us such classic comedy sketches as the Fish-slapping Dance, the Lumberjack Song and the Ministry of Silly Walks.

3. It’s the Reds vs the Blues. Throw in a couple of ‘experts’ to advise the teams and give them one hour to buy items in a flea market which are then sold at auction. Which ever team makes the most profit wins.

4. According to social climbing snob Hyacinth her last name is pronounced Bouquet but according to her husband Richard it’s always been just plain old Bucket.

5. This show focuses on the employees of the clothing department of Grace Brothers Department store.

I am exactly the same, although john pertwee was really the doctor for me (now im showing my age, lol) I did watch through until the end of tom baker, but thats when I stopped watching too.

If I remember rightly I think it was actually taken off the tv for quite a while at that point, and it seems that us oldies never got back to it again when it came back on.

I used to Watch Dr Who back in the day when the good doctor was played by Tom Baker. For some reason I haven't been able to get into the newer doctors. I guess it's a case of seeing someone playing a certain role and no one else can fit the bill.

pplcheryl63: Congratulations Wendy! I guess no one else knew the answer to the first question. You got 2, 3, 4
thanks Cheryl, I did realise my mistake on no.1 after I had posted the answers, lol

Congratulations Wendy! I guess no one else knew the answer to the first question. You got 2, 3, 4 and 5 right!

The answer to number one is Dr Who which first appeared in the 1950's, the Original Star Trek premiered in the 1960's. Also Technically DR who is the same show centering on the adventures of Dr Who, while Star Trek has been several different shows including Enterprise, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and the original Trek. Each show had it's own specific setting and cast although TNG and DS9 did have a lot of 'crossover'.

Wendy: how do I change one of my answers?
You can't change them once they are submitted. But you did get 4 out of 5. I won't say which 4 I'm going to let it run for two weeks we'll see if anyone gets all 5 in that time.
