I was on another site and saw this statement.  At first glance it really doesn't mean much but then I got to thinking just how deep this statement is.  Dead fish do nothing they just float along and the current takes them where it goes, downstream.

I know that we all have those periods where we seem to be dead fish, it can seem like we never make any progress.  But the truth is if you have a current, you are moving.  You're just don't see it.  We get the current from our activity.  If you are in one of those sign up and get rich schemes then this does not apply.  You've proven that activity is not in your vocabulary by signing up for that lazy opportunity in the first place.

For those of us who have a business and are in business then what we need to concentrate on is creating "current".  That means continuing to do what you are supposed to do.  If yuo are doing that the current will move you downstream.  If you have ever lived near a river then you know there are places where that river runs swift.  This is the time when everything seems to be going well no matter what you touch it turns into gold.

We also know that there are places in the river where it is calm.  Nothing seems to happen the surface can be smooth as glass.   the thing is under the surface where we don't see it the current still moves.  It's not as energetic as it is in other places but it is still there.  Remember your adctivity creates a current.  As long as you continue your activity you will still have that current.  Sooner or later you will reach the rapids again!

This is a grreat post and 'current' can apply to life in general as well. My 'current' is providing folks here with info & entertainment(my personal vids/pics). If I stop doing this then my life is like that area of the river that is stagnent, filled with algae and mosquitos. I don't wan't that. Photography/journalism or photojournalism if you prefer basically my thing. I know I have stuff out there that many may not agree with. That is fine with me. I just want to kep providing info and that keeps others thinking.

Exactly! Os as my favorite little cartoon fish likes to say "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming."

Great way to think about it.

If we are stagnant in our business goals - our business will eventually... stop flowing. Bottom line, don't stop, keep on keeping on -- and -- we should be able to keep our business afloat and keep everything progressing.. despite the occasional "falls".

It's sort of like looking at a "Peaceful " scene in Nature from a distance... Everything looks to be still and serene, until you really get close enough to see all of the Life and Living going on.... :)
