I know that we want to get sales, it's why we are in business but desperation is not going to increase your chances.  I see people still using the desperation tactic though.

If you went to buy say a car, an you decided not to buy that car,  the salesperson chases after you changing the offer or offering upgrades as you walk off.  Who is the winner in that situation?  The salesperson who is so desperate to make a sale he chases you down or you who get the great price and all the extra upgrades?

It no different with any sales situation, the desperate one loses.  When someone clicks the "X" to leave your site and all these pop up boxes saying basically "don't go, look at this first" pop up it's a sign of desperation.  it doesn't help you.  Instead people get the feeling that you are desperate.   Just a little something to think about.

Personally I love nothing better than a desperate salesperson because it means I have the control of the situation.

Dale/Stacey/Emma: Yes I am feeling more at ease, still having my "damn where did I find that last time" moments but I.
That's a perfect example of the Desperation. I hate those exit pop ups. I did not click on that little "X" by accident, it was my intention to leave. I hate being detained by popups.

Yes I am feeling more at ease, still having my "damn where did I find that last time" moments but I'll figure it out over time, one thought on the Guru's.
The day before I got to this site I was surfing and cane across the ad for "Make google cash CD" got to the end of the "free" signup and found out I needed $2.97 for shipping. Wellll, things being as bad as they are right now I have to X out. Up pops another window saying "WAIT DON"T GO, IF YOU COME BACK YOU CAN GET IT FOR $1.75, I'm feeling like I'm trying to shake that annoying little dog off of my leg(you know the one) but it isn't going anywhere. I finally got rid of it and the dog too.

Big pile of steaming you know what - ha ha -- you nailed it Cheryl.
When there is absolutely nothing tangible nor helpful - in - any way - to justify forking over our hard worked money -- it's a scam. Over my years online - some of them - that have been shown to me - really take the cake and they run with it too -- all the way to the bank . I can't say that they never return - they just resurface with a different mask on.

This is true. The gooroos are running out of idiots to blindly follow them. People are beginning to realize that no matter what they try these damned just sign up and give us you money every month "Opportunities" is a big pile od steaming you know what.

It's funny how all these make bukoo money from home opportunities are disappearing almost as fast as they show up.

The problem is that the so called "GURU's" are so desperate these days they they do it, and of course the sheeple see them doing it so they do the same.

WHEN are people going to learn NOT to imitate these so called "GURU's"

I hate that whole wait don't go look at this first thing with the pop ups. It reminds me of going with a friend many years ago to buy a car. The salesman was so desperate to make the sale she walked out of the dealership with every upgrade/option on the car and paid only $100 above what the standard model cost.

It is very hard to sell anything to anyone, if the seller projects himself in an unhealthy manner... The headlines of many an advert or email can and do speak volumes about the person who wrote them.

Overtly Bombastic and Screeching headlines have sent many an ad to the "Trash" bin without the reader giving them a second thought. There is a time for such histrionics, but in the main, it's best to allow an "Informed and Dignified" demeanor to be your starting point in any sales situation.

" It is easier to add just the right amount of "Spices" to any dish, moreso than it is to remove them, if you overdose at the beginning..."
