Got 700 followers on Twitter and only ever had about 3 or 4 adds sent to phone. I like this cos I'm in control...if anybody sends to much to phone i could just stop them from twitter account. Other than that's the only adds i get.

To me it's just like telemarketers calling you during dinner time. I think it is a bad idea.

Some people are charged for text messaging especially in the US. From what I understand texting is cheaper than voice calls in the UK so they use it more there. But, never-the-less since people are charged for texting I'd just as soon not get spam texts. It's bad enough that I pay for the ones from my mobile company announcing new features!! *sigh*

getting ads on your mobile is in my opinion an intrusion.

It is bad enough that we are inundated through the media, email, and by tele sales on land lines.
Leave us something that is ad free.

Since in the U.S. we are not supposed to be contacting mobile phones I tend to disagree with it. I think people should have at least one medium of communication free from being a marketing tool. That's just my opinion of course but people do need a break from the constant advertising.
