I agree with Bj, it shouldn't play automatically. It should be left off unless the viewer clicks the play button. I hate when sites auto play the stuff and it messes with my radio station I'm listening to. :)

I hate those media-stuff sites. When I surf 10-12 sites at a time, there is NO way for me to keep the sound on. Not speaking about the amount of extra bandwith they take.

On the other hand, I know the concept with video/audio as a a marketing technique is the thing that will override most of all the "old" ones. Better get used to it.

The good thing about it is that it does not play automatically we have the option to click to listen if we want to.

The one thing that makes me close a page faster than anything else is when an audio starts blaring at me as soon as I open it.

The ones that do this have NO consideration for the visitor and don't give a crap about the fact they are imposing on us the use of more of our bandwidth than we expected to use by going to their site.

These people forget not everyone has unlimited deals in fact in the UK and Europe I don't know of any supplier that offers it.

Some claim to but when you get up to a certain usage level they reduce you down to dial up speed and quote the "Fair usage policy" that they have hidden away in the standard minute text size in some inconspicuous corner of their site
