That period of time from November to January first is affectionately known as the holiday season. When I was a kid I always looked forward to this time of year. It was full of wonderful sights visits from family and friends and all around goodwill. As an adult it is a bit different that seeing the holidays as a child. For most adults the holidays mean extra work it geting ready for festive occasions:
Putting up decorations
Cleaning the house
Doing the cooking
Cleaning up afterward
It's nice to be invited to celebrate the holidays at someone else's home but a little consideration, please. You host has gone through a lot of work before you arrive, take the initiative to reduce the work you create for them.
Keep your children under control.
