It's that time of year again. Most people call it the "Holidays" I call it Christmas Burn Out. It's a condition that I am guaranteed to get every year and I don't think I'm alone.
If you had told me when I was a kid that I would suffer from Christmas burn out, I would have dailled 911 and told them to send the guys with the butterfly nets and straight jackets PDQ! What get burned out on Christams. I wished it coulf be christmas year round. Well it seems the older I get, the closer I'm getting to having my wish!
When I was a child there was something magical about Christmas and Halloween seemed to start the countdown. You knew that once Halloween went by you would count the days until Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving meant the first weekend of December was right around the corner. That first weekend was special. All the decorations would go up in the stores, And of course there was the Christmas Parade topped off by Santa himself riding into town. On the fire truck. That was the Christmas Season. It was a special time of year when it seemed almost anything was possible, three week period of wonder.
